Superman: Man Of Steel set photos revealed

Kent family farm and Smallville school prepped

While there's still no sign of the cast in Illinois yet (or that iconic Superman suit), the first images from the latest location shoot for Zack Snyder's Man Of Steel have appeared online.

Fans Bill Schofield, Joe Sperandeo and Mike Scola took the photos and posted them on Facebook.

The images show the house and area that will be used as Kent Farm, where Superman is raised as a member of the family after his ship crash lands on Earth.

They also show school buildings being prepped for filming, with buses parked outside painted with the words 'Smallville School Dist.'

Man Of Steel stars Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Diane Lane and Kevin Costner and will be released in UK cinemas in summer 2013.

Should the production have tried to fit in closer with the Smallville TV series? Or is it better for this Superman reboot to go its own separate way? Tell us below!

After seeing Sucker Punch the other night, I'm seriously wondering if Snyder's the right man for the job. I loved 300 and Watchmen by god Sucker Punch was some ball of shīte.

i agree with Gav83, and after re-watching 300 and the Watchmen i realise Snyder's films lack heart and emotion. Maybe OK for a half naked chick blowing up a robot with a laser but this is superman

Snyder is a style over substance director, so as long as he's involved in writing (which he did for Punch and 300), it should be alright. It's funny that screenplay is written by Goyer - he can write a good story/screenplay, but his director skills are lacking.
