I frequently express my disdain for Slumdog Millionaire. So as you can imagine I'm disgusted that it got 10 nods. Unfortunately I'm quite sure it will win them all. Tell me, did Slumdog Millionaire posses the emotional intensity of Benjamin Button ? Did Danny Boyle's direction overshadow the sheer artistry of a Darren Aronofsky ? Was Simon Beaufoy's script so well written that it beats out John Patrick Stanley's adaptation of Doubt ? Lets take a look back at last years nominees. The masterpiece that was There Will Be Blood, the classic No Country For Old Men, the gripping Drama/Thriller Michael Clayton. And now they have added Slumdog Millionaire to the Oscar list ? But enough about that. Glad to see Frozen River get some nods. But what about the most overlooked film of the year? Che.

Danny Boyle has deserved some nods in the past, although 10 for Slumdog is a bit much. And i agree, Aronofsky missing out is a travesty. Also once again, Tropic Thunder?
