The Dark Knight Rises: Batwing footage captured on set

Where does he get those wonderful toys?

The elusive Batwing has been seen in action as it hovers back and forth underneath the 6th Street Bridge in downtown Los Angeles.

This video from YouTube was captured on a night shoot on 11 September 2011.

From this clip it looks as if the vehicle will use the same kind of thrust as a Harrier Jump Jet to power itself into the air and then speed away.

That's all theory based on this footage - which is obscured by the bridge supports – and when the rig is digitally taken out it could just be that this is the Batwing passing beneath the bridge as it flies through.

The Dark Knight Rises opens on 20 July 2012.

Can't wait to see the real thing in action in Christopher Nolan's movie? Or should Batman have stuck to The Tumbler? Tell us below!

What a pointless photo! These cr4ppy little on-set snaps are starting to get on my t*ts a bit now. Why don't you just pi$$ off until a proper trailer is released and stop ruining the surprise for everyone.

I have to say in their defence that.. Total Film are a film magazine and the whole point of the film news section is about reporting the news.. in film. If you don't want to look at it don't click through.. simple as that. I do agree that these photos are very annoying but like I say they are only doing their job
