The next Terminator film to be animated?

Terminator 3000 will be 3D CGI

Terminator 3000 is the latest pitch at extending the cyborg franchise, put forward by Hannover and Red Bear Entertainment.

The two companies have announced plans for an animatedTerminator, using a $70 million budget.

Canadian based Red Bear Entertainment and Hannover House, the entertainment wing of Target Development Group Inc. have envisioned a 3D animated story arc using the characters from the original films.

With the production and story details being kept quiet, the concept is still in its infancy.

However, Hannover and Red Bear will announce further plans later this year, with a view to a proposed early-2011 start.

Whatever your thoughts on Terminator Salvation, those yearning for a return to the R-rated Terminators of yore will no doubt by a little deflated by this news.

An animated Terminator has the potential to look cool, yes, but we highly doubt it will be aimed at an adult audience.

firstly i hope 'terminator 3000' is a working title otherwise the title has caused a failure in my eyes before it's even been made secondly - I depise this new fad of 3D, saw Avatar and Toy Story 3 in 3D - both films made in 3D from the start, the onyl difference I saw was the fact I had to wear stupid glasses to watch the film and lastly animated *sigh* why oh why - animated films that attempt realism fail compare Final Fantasy The Spirits Within and any pixar film (say Up?) FF was critically bombed and focused mainly on the 'realism' of the effects. Up didnt even try to be real and was loved universally

Final Fantasy : Advent Children was a superior sequel and concentrated on the game characters rather than some stock nobodys, it has photo realistic detail and the action is to die for...check out Final Fantasy Advent children bike chase on youtube. Anyway, anyone remember Robocop: The animated series? Exactly. Next!

Ok? Really? be honest this is a joke right? OK for starters Robocop, final fantasy, stawars, animated movies were a bad idea and have prob without realising cut there market audience by atleast half as now we're looking at another demise of what is actually a legendary sci fi action saga, the only movie to animated concept that has really managed to stay true to its roots and audience was probably the Animatrix. We just need to stay true to the past, the story, and the timeline wherever possible and build and improve on what has come before and as far as im concerned, in four Terminator movies they have only managed to c**k one of em up and that was Rise of the Machines!!! Change director if absoluteley nessecery, keep Bale, keep it in the future and keep some bloody consistency......oh n leave the Animated idea where you found it.........
