After diverting for the likes of Changing Lanes and intense stalker drama Enduring Love, director Roger Michell is dipping his toe back into the waters of British comedy for Venus.
And the movie has attracted a quality cast of thesps. Master of the smooth talk Leslie Philips and acting legend Vanessa Redgrave will play actors of the old school forced to re-evaluate their lives after meeting an inquisitive young woman, played by newcomer Jodie Whittaker.
Harry Potter’s Uncle Vernon, Richard Griffiths, has also signed up for the film, which is shooting as you read this. Wait… They’ve just stopped. No, they’ve started again. Is it lunch yet?
