Thomas Jane visits The Dark Country

For his directorial debut…

It’s pretty clear that not only has Thomas Jane long harboured that typical actors’ desire to direct, but that he has his eye on becoming a new Robert Zemeckis or even James Cameron.

How so? His directing debut, The Dark Country, might not feature time machines or killer robots, but it’ll be shot in high definition 3D as well as regular 2D HD. Yes, he’s getting all technologically advanced.

And he’s scooped up a quality cast for the tale of a couple whose honeymoon turns into a hellish nightmare – Ron Perlman (who we’re guessing will be more on the hell side than the couple side) and Hostel II’s Lauren German.

Tarzan scriptwriter Tab Murphy wrote the script, which Jane has just started directing in New Mexico.
