“Hammer! Hammer!”

thor

A 50-second clip from Kenneth Branagh’s Thor comic adap has been posted online.

Continuing the scene from the trailer in which Asgardian God Thor crash-lands on our mortal planes, it’s nothing Earth-shattering, but it does give us a feel for the chemistry between our lead quartet.

It does feel odd out of context, with Chris Hemsworth bellowing as the titular God and Stellan Skarsård not really doing much.

But Kat Dennings should be a hoot as Natalie Portman’s spunky sidekick, while Portman herself seems to have struck a decent balance between smart and subtly sexy.

I think as soon as the guy hits Earth the whole movie should feel odd, just like Thor himself.

For 's***ky sidekick' read: 'Never shuts up'. Im guessing shes going to get real annoying real fast.

I think the humour doesn't really work.. who knows.. maybe it will be an amazing flawless film putting superheros in the movie classic hall of fame. Or, a 3 star movie that follows the template Marvel seems to have adopted. Weirdly I'm looking forward to the Avengers a lot more..
