He’s brought us the world of magic, but Neil Burger’s next project will be grounded in a little more reality.
He’s just signed up Lionsgate to produce and distribute The Return, the tale of three soldiers returning home from Iraq who end up on an unexpected road trip across the States.
And thanks to the clout from the respected Illusionist, he’s nabbed a quality cast to play the main characters. Tim Robbins, Rachel McAdams and World Trade Center’s Michael Pena. "Neil had many opportunities," financier Bill Block blabbed to Variety. "But it is a credit to his vision and validation in sticking with this project."
Burger will crank the cameras this May.
