After all that time as Spider-Man, it looks like Tobey Maguire’s just happy spending time with the family, taking smaller films (like the upcoming drama Brothers) and making the odd cameo (he crops up briefly in Tropic Thunder).
Oh, and he’s also producing plenty of movies, adding another one to his schedule. Afterburn is a comic book set in a post apocalyptic world, which has seen a massive solar flare destroy most of the Eastern hemisphere, leaving millions as radioactive mutants. A team of treasure hunters venture into the damaged lands to nab priceless items like the Mona Lisa.
There are no writers, directors or actors attached yet, but The Hollywood Reporter is keeping the heat on the story.
