Tobey Maguire’s really getting into this producing lark. These days it seems like we report more on movies he’s developing than we do anything he’s planning to star in.
His latest acquisition is the mag article Marry Him!: The Case For Settling For Mr Good Enough, which is about to be adapted into a book. There’s no word yet on what the final film will actually be about, but since the article (and the forthcoming book’s) author Lori Gottlieb writes about being a single mother who decides she doesn’t need to keep looking for the perfect Mr Right, we’re guessing it’ll be a rom-com about settling for a charming schlub. Probably played by Matthew McConaughey. Warners is putting up development dosh for Maguire’s production company to work on the script.
