Tom Hiddleston in line for The Crow remake?

In early talks for the title role

Relativity Media’s long-gestating remake of The Crow looks to have found a new candidate to don the famous makeup, with Tom Hiddleston reportedly in early talks to fill the role of Eric Draven.

Several leading men have been linked to the project over the past few years, with Bradley Cooper having been attached to the role before Channing Tatum and Mark Wahlberg were eyed as replacements.

The last we heard, James McAvoy was being heavily linked to the part, but now it seems that Hiddleston is the front runner, with The Wrap reporting him to be in early talks with the studio.

According to their source, Hiddleston has already met with producers and undergone a makeup test to ensure he can get the look of the character just right, with a second round of meetings to take place soon.

Adapted from James O’Barr’s graphic novel, the film will follow the exploits of Eric Draven, a man murdered while trying to save his other half from a gang of violent street thugs, who returns from the grave to avenge his own death.

It’s obviously early days on this one, but of all the actors linked so far, Hiddleston is the one who has us the most excited. Fingers crossed…

Would Hiddleston be a good pick for the role? Tell us, below!

Do we really need a Crow-remake? That's just so wrong on every level.

Remakes generally don't bother me. If I don't agree with it or don't think it should have been remade, I won't watch it - simple. The Crow, however, has always been one that I defend to the hilt of not needing a remake. At all. Ever. That being said, this is the first person to be cast that I have thought may have a chance of delivering something decent.
