Total Recall: Colin Farrell and Jessica Biel set photos online

Farrell gets a fender bender

New photos of Colin Farrell and Jessica Biel working on the set of Len Wiseman's Total Recall have appeared online.

Filming is currently taking place in downtown Toronto.

These shots confirm what the first official image showed – that Farrell's character will be a regular-looking guy compared to Arnie's buff secret agent in the 1990 movie.

At first glance  it looks like Marty McFly and the Doc are not going to be too happy when Colin gets the DeLorean home!

Total Recall is a reimagining of Philip K. Dick's science fiction short story We Can Remember It for You Wholesale and the film opens 22 August 2012 in UK cinemas.

Will Farrell's casting as the lead help ground the sci-fi story in reality? Or is the total amnesia when it comes to Arnie's original a bad thing? Remember to post below!

Im a big PKD fan and as great as the 1990 film was, there is easily room for another adaptation of the book. Having Bryan Cranston involved is an exciting prospect as well. My major hang up though is wiseman, having him at the helm is worrying. You never know though this might be his time to shine, personaly i would have loved to see david cronenberg given another shot at making the version he wanted to put on the screen 20years ago.

Yeah, Wiseman is definitely the weak link but then again like you say this could be his moment to shine. I quite enjoyed Die Hard 4 and that proved he could do interesting action scenes..

Let me ask you, Len Wiseman: What is it that is exactly the same about every single film you have ever made? Give up? You! You're the same. No matter where you go, there you are. It's always the same old you.

Wiseman.. (surely Journeyman?) has made a career of making movies from the scraps of legendary directors like Mctiernan and Verhoeven. In time, he will be forgotten as a hack-for-hire along with Ratner and 'Paul ' Job for Milla ' Anderson.

@dalidab1982 Mortal Kombat, Event Horizon, Soldier, Resident Evil, AVP, Death Race & Resident Evil 4 are all great films? Are you on crack or what lad? If they're great then what's s**te? Paul Anderson is every single thing that's wrong with the movie industry today, personified. Consistently churning out complete and utter c**p in the form of sequels and reboots. Rant over. I feel better.

Have you noticed that when dalidab says 'it's your opinion and I highly respect that', the next thing he says will invariably be totally retarded?

Isn't that how it works for most people, they s**t pieces of s**t, and therefore are s**t s(h)itters. What the hell do you s**t? if not pieces of s**t then what! Toilet time must be something in your house. i am sorry for all the s**t talk, that comment just confused and amused in equal measure.

@dalidab1982: now now, there's no need for all that cussin and fussin! All I did was say in a roundabout way that you'd have to be a bit soft in the noodle to think that those movies were "great"! You're are fully entitled to your own opinion and you're just as entitled to be wrong. So I apologies, deeply, truly, for any hurt, pain or suffering that you experienced at my behest. Now go change your fanny pad.

This could be alright or it could be rubbish - Wiseman did alright with underworld but these types of directors are so by the book, with little to no vision. They churn out films that come in on budget, on time and make a nice little profit for the studio. They are the limited central midfielder who lets the creative directors in the studio system go on and create. It's when they are unleashed on dedent films and squander the huge potential - Brett Ratner - WTF did you do to my beloved X-Men!!! Paul Anderson - Event Horiszon was good but Resident Evil was a torrid pile of dross and could have been soooo much more. Anyway - dalidab - you seem a bit crazy mate.

I'm not a big fan of this re-telling, But i figure if it has Bryan Cranston's talent involved, then maybe it's worth a look..
