Transformers 4 will be set 4 years after Dark Of The Moon

Michael Bay gives a plot update

Things are beginning to pick up pace with regards to Transformers 4, with Michael Bay following up last week’s announcement that Mark Wahlberg will be taking the lead with the first official plot details.

Specifics are understandably few and far between at this stage, but one thing Bay can confirm is that the new film will be set four years after the events of its predecessor.

“The movie will continue four years from the attack on Chicago,” says Bay, “which is in the last movie. So it’s going to still have the same lineage. And it’s going a full new direction and feels very natural how it’s going in that direction.

“There is no way you’re going to ever find out what the story is,” continues the director. “You don’t have to dig through my trash… I shredded my trash.”

Would we really need to root through his trash to find out the story since the first three had the exact same story. I'm guessing Megatron comes back with a bigger army so the Autobots have a big fight with them. The humans run around shouting things that don't matter because the audience are only there to see things explode and there'll be some hot chick who Mark Wahlberg ends up getting off with at the end, oh! And she does some sexy pose near a car or bike at some point. Roll credits. Michael Bay - "I'm not coming back for a 5th". Film makes a couple of hundred bazillion dollars. Michael Bay - "I really care about this franchise so I'm going to make a 5th one because I think it's such a deep, character driven piece and not because I want a huge cheque at the end of it".
