Jack Reacher has released a pair of new TV spots, in which Tom Cruise shows off his badass side, and Werner Herzog proves he’s a villain to be reckoned with.
The first spot throws Herzog’s villain into the spotlight, forcing a man to beg for his life, before putting a bullet in his head anyway. Rosamund Pike’s character describes him as “a cancer”, and he certainly seems set to provide a suitably hissable foe.
Meanwhile, the second spot focuses on Cruise as Reacher, firing off one-liners left right and centre as he sets about intimidating anybody who gets in the way of his mission.
Take a look at both teasers, below…
Adapted from the novel One Shot by Lee Child, the film will see Reacher in pursuit of a lethal gunman taking aim at random civilians, while attempting not to let his capacity for violence overcome him entirely. Good luck with that one, Jack…
Written and directed by Christopher McQuarrie, and co-starring Robert Duvall and Jai Courtney, Jack Reacher opens in the UK on 26 December 2012.
