Tyler Perry takes a second week atop the US box office

Street Fighter gets punched out

The screaming tween power of the Jonas Brothers wasn’t enough to keep Tyler Perry’s Madea Goes To Jail from holding on to the top spot across the pond this weekend.

Madea made $16.5 million, while the singing sensations could only scrape up $12.7 million – far behind the Hannah Montana Movie from last year.

Slumdog Millionaire had another good weekend, seeing an Oscar boost and leaping to third place with $12.1 million (having earned $115 million in America alone so far). Taken sat at four with $9.9 million).

Meanwhile in fifth place, He’s Just Not That Into You continued to do decent business, nabbing $5.8 million this weekend.

Aside from the Jonas pic, the only other new release was Street Fighter: The Legend Of Chun Li, which stumbled into eighth place and made just $4.6 million.

Your top 10, then…

Tyler Perry’s Madea Goes To Jail ($16.5 million)
Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience ($12.7 million)
Slumdog Millionaire ($12.1 million)
Taken ($9.9 million)
He’s Just Not That Into You ($5.8 million)
Paul Blart: Mall Cop ($5.6 million)
Coraline ($5.2 million)
Street Fighter: The Legend Of Chun-Li ($4.6 million)
Confessions Of A Shopaholic ($4.5 million)
Fired Up ($3.8 million)
