Universal wants a Resurrection

Adapting an alien-fighting graphic novel

Unusually when evil alien scum decide to invade our fair blue globe on film, we either send them packing by the final reel or the movie ends with humanity banding together to launch a resistance.

Resurrection, a comic book penned by Marc Guggenheim (currently busy running Johnny Lee Miller’s new TV show Eli Stone across the pond), opens with the human race crushed by a dastardly race of extraterrestrials, but with hope in the form of a group of freedom fighters.

Universal thinks it sounds ideal for a movie pitch and has nabbed the rights to the book. The Hollywood Reporter is watching the fight.
