The remake of 80s classic Poltergeist is closer to having a helmer, in the form of Ukraine-born Vadim Perelman.
MGM is currently in negiotations with the Ukrainian director, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Perelman has previously made House of Sand and Fog and The Life Before Her Eyes.
He was also once attached to Spielberg's Talisman, which at least teniously ties him to one of the talents behind the original movie.
