It’s always disappointing when you’re a wounded Iraq war veteran visiting a friend in a small town, only to discover the person you’ve come to see has vanished without trace and no one can recall them. Puts a real damper on your day, that does.
Val Kilmer feels our pain – he’s facing exactly that situation in a new indie drama called Conspiracy. Though let’s face it, in a film with that title, it’s not likely the plot’s going to feature puppies and roses.
Still while he’s looking, he does manage to strike up a relationship with Crash’s Jennifer Esposito, playing a tough-as-nails single mother who has survived an abusive marriage. Yep, it’s an indie drama all right.
It’s being shot right now in New Mexico, with Adam Marcus calling the shots.
