Valkyrie delayed for four months

Cruise drama will bow in October

It's official - Tom Cruise's Nazi assassination drama Valkyrie has been delayed. If we were in an optimistic mood, we'd suggest it's been pushed from its original 27 June release to its new 3 October slot to put it into the eyes of Oscar voters.

If we were feeling a bit glass half-empty, we'd say it was part of some serious studio shuffling, which has also seen Where The Wild Things are disappearing from its 3 October 2008 slot to sometime in 2009.
