Vin Diesel teases involvement in Marvel’s The Inhumans

Could he be about to star in second Marvel franchise?

Vin Diesel has hinted that he might be (ahem) branching out beyond his role as Groot, with another major Marvel franchise in the form of The Inhumans.

“Vin and Marvel… you all made it happen,” mused Diesel in a recent post on his Facebook page. “I get the strange feeling Marvel thinks I’m Inhuman… haha.”

Now, before we get too excited, it should be pointed out that a film of The Inhumans has not been confirmed by anyone official, despite rumours some years ago that Marvel Studios was eyeing the franchise.

The comic-books follow a group of characters who were created by Kree experiments on primitive man. With the Kree having abandoned their work, their subjects were left to form a society of their own, resulting in the titular community of misfits.

With the similarly low-profile Guardians Of The Galaxy having performed so well at the box office, it could well be that Marvel is looking to adapt another leftfield comic, although at this stage, we’d say Diesel is likely getting a little ahead of himself.

Still, if his sterling work as Groot is anything to go by, we’d be more than happy to be proved wrong…

What do you make of Diesel's comments? Tell us, below!

He'd actually make a decent Blackbolt, a character whose physical presence would need to be quite profound seeing as how he pretty much doesn't speak

I think he'd be excellent as Black Bolt, but I can also see him doing justice to Triton and/or Gorgon, both are quite big fellas and have strong personalities within the group. I really hope Inhumans happens, Marvel made GOTG work, this will be just as challenging but rewarding if they get it right.

I didn't think Marvel Studios allowed actors to play more than one role in their Cinematic universe - case and point Paul Bettany who [once marvel got bigger] asked the studio for another role but they wouldn't allow it, until Vision came a long, hence the [slight] change in Visions origins - so I'm guessin Van D. will make a Groot Cameo

We knew from the start that Groot wasn't the only role Vin was circling from the MMU. Again why in seven hells wasn't something like this announced at Comic Con? Marvel and DC have been dropping the ball with these announcements lately.
