Von Trier's Antichrist out of limbo

Lars has some German cash to make it at last…

Lars Von Trier had been all set to start work on his next film, Antichrist last summer until financing problems and a bout of depression curtailed his efforts.

But with some helpful German funding, it’s all back on track. While the current plot description – a couple retreating to a cabin in the woods to get over the death of their child – doesn’t sound exactly like the originally announced exploration of the idea that it was Satan, not God who created the world, it’s still likely that we’ll see some demonic overtones. After all, as Bruce Campbell can attest, weird things go on in secluded woods-based cabins…

Variety is camping out on the story.
