Lars Von Trier had been all set to start work on his next film, Antichrist last summer until financing problems and a bout of depression curtailed his efforts.
But with some helpful German funding, it’s all back on track. While the current plot description – a couple retreating to a cabin in the woods to get over the death of their child – doesn’t sound exactly like the originally announced exploration of the idea that it was Satan, not God who created the world, it’s still likely that we’ll see some demonic overtones.
