Watanabe and Cusack visit Shanghai

The Last Samurai and Batman Begins star Ken Watanabe has just signed up to co-star with John Cusack and Gong Li in period drama Shanghai.
The action kicks off when an American (Cusack, obviously) returns to a pre-Pearl Harbour Shanghai on the trail of his friend’s killer. But while digging into the murder, he not only falls in love with Memoirs Of A Geisha hottie Li, but also stumbles upon a massive American conspiracy. Wouldn't you just know it.
Shanghai starts shooting in China next month and Variety has all the details.
