The Hunger Games has released yet another clip ahead of its grand opening later this month, with Josh Hutcherson’s Peeta Mellark giving an interview to Stanley Tucci’s blustering TV host Caesar Flickerman.
The new clip is vaguely spoilery for those who haven’t read the books, so if you don’t want to see what happens, it might be worth giving this one a miss.
For those of you who want to check it out, you can take a look at the latest clip below…
Rather nicely played, don’t you think? Tucci is pleasingly slimy as Flickerman, but Hutcherson looks like credible leading man material, creating a palpable sense of nervousness appropriate to someone spilling their guts on national telly.
We hope Warner Bros. save a few surprises for the finished article, but this is certainly one of the stronger clips we’ve seen from the film so far. We've also recently found out that The Hunger Games has been snipped of a few seconds of footage to secure a 12A certificate in the UK, so expect the violence levels to be really testing the rating.
Oh, and persisent talk that The Hunger Games is 'tracking' at Harry Potter-esque levels means this could be in for a bigger box office than anyone had anticipated...
The Hunger Games opens in the UK on 23 March 2012.
