Lockout, the sci-fi action thriller, has released its opening scene online, in which Guy Pearce finds himself being interrogated by Peter Stormare and his punch-happy henchmen.
The film sees Pearce play a falsely convicted former government agent whose only chance of freedom lies in a highly dangerous mission to rescue the President’s daughter (Maggie Grace) from an outer space prison where the inmates have started running wild.
This first scene establishes Pearce’s badass credentials with a series of smartass one-liners, an ability to take a punch and a bone-jarring fight scene to boot.

We’re squarely in guilty pleasure territory here, but Pearce certainly looks the part as the wise-cracking man of action, and this opening set-piece bodes well for the carnage to come in the rest of the film.
Directed by James Mather and Stephen St. Leger, and co-starring Joseph Gilgun, Lennie James and Vincent Regan, Lockout will open in the UK on 20 April. The Friday night B-movie is back!
