Zombie gore and undead scares aren't for the faint-hearted…

The Walking Dead Season 3 will be hitting US screens in just over a month, with a UK broadcast to follow shortly after.

And if the two new clips that have just landed online are to be believed, this will be the scariest season yet.

Be warned: The first clip below contains a fairly gruesome bit of gore, and the second clip made us pop to the shops to buy a new pair of pants.

Check them out below (the clips, not the pants), then let us know what you think in the comments!

The Walking Dead season 3 will premiere on FX UK in the Autumn.

im hoping they get it right this season! theyre doing a quality job of destroying one of the best comics about. this season looks much more promising, as long as they get the governor and michonne right!

Did you guys not enjoy series 2? A couple of my friends didn't either but I thought it was excellent. I haven't read any of the comics but I've heard they are doing a decent job.

Series 2 was just a bit dull. Apart form a few choice moments, (the well being a highlight) it just seemed to drag. Darabonts exit and the major budget cut really showed. They could, and maybe should have made a 6 episode series again. Just wonder how much creative control Joel Stillerman will have over the new series. He has done some good stuff at AMC but seems to think he is behind the quality of the finished product and not the cast and crew. The Killing is a perfect example. I really wasn't sure about an American remake but was blown away by the opening episode. Dark, brooding, very much like Twin Peaks but without the weird. Happy to go at it's own pace and not be rushed. I was onboard. Then, little by little they filtered out the dark and the brooding and it became more of a run of the mill police thriller. I'll keep watching The Walking Dead but I hope they have sorted out the problems they had on the 2nd series.

Season 2 turned into a soap opera, they should have departed the farm alot sooner. Season 1 was easily more interesting but nothing has topped the pilot which was outstanding. Pity Frank Darabont has now departed the show :-(

And thank the lord for FXUK showing the episodes a week after they air in America, just ashame they can't do the same for Dexter and True Blood.

"A lot" and "a shame" are both two words, not one.

The problem i had with series two was they dragged it on too long. The whole series is based on the 2nd graphic novel and so they had to expand the storylines to cover the dozen or so episodes. I started to grow weary of it towards the end. I hope going forwards they can keep it all a bit leaner and i hope they stay true to the comics. The series as a whole has been pretty faithful, but in this second series they started to change quite a bit. I understand that certain things work better on a page than on screen, and some things have to be added or taken out to work properly, but it always annoys me when books (comics especially) get completely changed for tv/film. That means that people won't be getting to enjoy the same fantastic story that i have read. This is my worry for any adaptation of Y: The Last Man that may be on the horizon. One of my favourite stories recently and i wish it was known about more in popular culture by those who look down on graphic novels as a grown up medium for story-telling.

Don't mind watching a short advert before a clip, but when the advert is longer than the clip itself, come on...
