Watchmen case settled!

The release is safe. The studios have sealed a deal

It seems that Fox and Warner Brothers have finally sorted out the issues that have threatened to keep Watchmen from our screens.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the two studios have reached a final agreement that will see Fox hand over all rights to Watchmen in return for a hefty- and, as yet undisclosed - payment from Warners, plus a share in the box office takings.

The announcement was made Thursday afternoon in LA and an official statement from the studios is expected today (Friday).

Now everyone (except for producer Larry Gordon who might end up paying Warners part of the settlement total) can stop worrying about it and go back to looking forward to Watchmen's March release. Hooray for big bags of cash!
