Harvey and Bob pick up comedy pitch

Tony Leech and Cory Edwards, two of the scribblers behind The Weinstein Company’s upcoming animated comedy Hoodwinked, have successfully pitched another script to the New York movie moguls.
Escape From Planet Earth tells the tale of a bunch of hapless aliens who make a break for freedom from Area 51 – the gang are led from the top secret government facility by an extra-terrestrial called Gary.
Hoodwinked marks the feature writing debut for Leech and Edwards and claims to lift the lid on the real story behind the Little Red Ridinghood fairytale. The flick stars the vocal talents of Glenn Close and James Belushi and is set for a UK release later this year.
