Before you even start to think it, no All Creatures Great And Small will not be a big screen version of James Herriot’s charming vet tales, originally on the small screen with Peter Davison and lots of cows’ arses.
The movie will actually be a slice of future shock from Wanted scribes Michael Brandt and Derek Haas, which posits a world in which the Earth has forced animals to evolve more quickly to combat humanity’s destructive ways. So man lives in protective forts while the likes of bears and lions rule the world, picking us off one by one. Sounds like David Attenborough’s idea of heaven.
There’s no director or cast attached yet, but The Hollywood Reporter is reaching for its gun.
