On Monday, Paramount announced via the trades that Transformers 3 would arrive on 1 July 2011. There’s just one problem with that… Michael Bay doesn’t agree.
The volatile director quickly issued a statement on his website about the issue.
"Paramount made a mistake," Bay wrote. "They asked me on the phone, (and) I said yes to July 4 (weekend) --but for 2012. Whoops, not 2011! That would mean I would have to start prep in September. No way. My brain needs a break from fighting robots."
Wait, Michael Bay makes movies with his brain?
Still, it looks like Trans-fans will have to wait a little longer for the next instalment of giant f*****g robots.
Bay, of course, has been endlessly spreading misinformation about Revenge Of The Fallen to try to keep plot leaks under control.
So he’d better watch out we don’t all start to think he’s the cinematic equivalent of the boy who cried wolf – and secretly plotting the third film in his attic, where he has an infinite number of monkeys bashing out the script as we write this…

I'll Wait and see how Revenge Shapes up before i make my mind up weather or not a 3rd one is worth the wait. Plus trilogys somehow always manage to fall short somewhere e.g. spiderman3 the two towers.
