Reese Witherspoon, who is currently drawing rave reviews for her performance in Johnny Cash biopic Walk The Line, is developing the thriller The Reckoning. She plans to star as a photojournalist who journeys to Cambodia to follow the US military as they look for the remains of a pilot shot down during the Vietnam War.
The script, which has been penned by Red Dragon scripter Ted Tally, is based on a novel by Jeff Long, which was published in 2004. The script’s currently being flung around Hollywood and shoved under the noses of directors.
