Evangeline Lilly flew back from filming The Hobbit in New Zealand to attend the US premiere of Real Steel and was happy to chat about her new fantasy role.
The Lost actress has now spent a month playing the Wood Elf Tauriel on The Hobbit set and says “working with Pete Jackson is super inspiring.”
She also praised the huge amount of support she gets in New Zealand.
“I have a dialogue coach, an emotion coach, a language coach, a stunts coach. So I should by rights be great in this film but if I fuck up it's my fault,” Lilly told Access Hollywood.
Hear her drop that F-bomb and speak a little Elvish in the trailer by clicking this link.
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey opens 14 December 2012, while the sequel The Hobbit: There and Back Again opens a year later on 13 December 2013.

Is Lilly getting 'All Shook Up'? Has she got some pretty big 'Blue Suede Shoes' to fill following Jackson's The Lord Of The Rings? Or have we misunderstood the term 'Elvish'?

I like her as well, but seeing as her character isn't even in the Hobbit, I hope it's an itty-bitty role. I don't think it hurts to flesh out the elves a bit, seeing as Bilbo and the dwarfs do get caught up with them for a significant amount of time, but I'm looking forward to seeing what's actually in one of my most beloved childhood books spring to life on the big screen. The spiders are going to be freaking great, not to mention Beorn and his menagerie. Ooo, and the eagles, and the wolves and goblins... and the trolls.. and Smaug..
