Woody Allen's European tour continues afoot, with a first look at the venerable director's Italian phase now available thanks to the first trailer for To Rome With Love.
The film will be divided into four separate sections telling the various stories of some of the city's tourists and inhabitants.
It also sees a return to on-screen action for Woody himself, playing a curmudgeonly old cove sporting some trademark neuroses.

From the looks of that, we're most excited about the Alec Baldwin / Jesse Eisenberg / Ellen Page storyline, whilst Allen's segment also looks rich in comedic potential. On the flipside, Penelope Cruz's cheerful hooker routine looks a blithe bit cliched, and we've a suspicion Roberto Benigni might get on our nerves a tad…
That said, Rome itself looks as gorgeous as ever, and should lend itself nicely to Allen's purposes. We'll find out for sure when the film opens in the UK later this year, with an official release date yet to be confirmed.
