Woody Harrelson joins 2012

“I don’t know why they thought of me. But I like the idea…”

Every big disaster movie, particularly one from Roland Emmerich, needs someone who is ahead of the curve in predicting trouble that no one else believes until it’s too late. You know the type: the Jeff Goldblum, the Dennis Quaid.

Emmerich’s latest, the world-ending apocalypso 2012 just got its own version: Woody Harrelson. He spilled the beans to MTV about his character, a man who has been foreseeing the end of everything according to the Mayan calendar for some time, but who has been written off as a kook. Naturally, he’s proved very right when things go to hell.
