World War Z sequel in the works

Second film on the way after strong box office performance

Looks like Brad Pitt hasn’t faced his last zombie, as Paramount is planning a sequel to World War Z after the film opened strongly with a $111.8 million worldwide take.
The film opened with a domestic haul of $66 million, a performance that looks to have convinced Paramount to press on with its burgeoning franchise.
Paramount Chairman Rob Moore has confirmed to THR that the studio is actively developing a second film, with Pitt thought to be keen to return to a project he both produced and starred in.

Meanwhile, Monsters University enjoyed an even more profitable opening, romping to top spot in the box office chart with an estimated $82 million take.

It’s a figure that makes Monsters Univesity one of the biggest ever Pixar openings, second only to the $110 million earned by Toy Story 3 in 2010.

Please no. It was the 'Brad Pitt is the ultimate hero show' and had no relation to the book, from what I remember. It was so boring.

the film was OK, its definitely no relation to any other zombie films i have seen. There is no survival horror here folks, just fast paced action, story and strangely uplifting music for a zombie flick.

I have always liked Brad Pitt, unlike Will Smith, he is not too big to do smaller, independent films like Moneyball, s****h or Killing them softly or play a supporting role. They should turn the next WWZ into a mini-series, but forward thinking is not Hollywoods strong suit.
