Scrubs and Garden State star Zach Braff is in talks to join the ever-expanding cast of Sam Raimi’s Oz: The Great And Powerful.
He’s in line to play Frank, the loyal but underappreciated assistant to James Franco’s wizard.
In this prequel to The Wizard Of Oz, Franco plays a charismatic magician whose balloon blows into Oz, where the folks want his help destroying the Wicked Witch.
Talking of witches, Michelle Williams, Rachel Weisz and Mila Kunis are all attached to play distinctly un-haglike spellcasters.
Filming of the prequel is kicking off in Michigan in July.
Oz: The Great And Powerful opens 8 March 2013.
