Omid Djalili – isn’t he the ‘token Arab’ in The Mummy? Yes – and it’s this sort of stereotyping the Iranian comic riffs on in his first stand-up DVD. Self-deprecating to a fault (“I’m the Les Dennis of the Middle East”), Djalili plays the race card with relish, but sometimes lacks bite: gags about Muslims in airports are hardly cutting-edge. Still, he’s energetic, working up a sweat as he gives Jews, Germans and middle-class Brits a (mild) roasting. Extras unavailable at press time.
