I'm easily scared.. I jumped and screamed in Super Eight, ok? So the first one freaked me out a tad. However, even I laughed at the second one. Not even a tiny bit scary. Not to mention just completely silly and ridiculous. Boo.

I'm actually really looking forward to this. The first one is the scariest film I have ever seen. Some might laugh at this, but each to their own I say. Different concepts work on different people, and this sort of thing has always freaked me out on a very deep level. I also found blair witch scary. The director really knew how to target my fears, especially with the cinematography (the lighting in the house was scary just by itself). The second paranormal activity only just worked because it used the same winning elements. It still scared me a bit, and was well made. It just lacked the same punch because it felt like a carbon copy. The reason I'm excited about the 3rd one, is because it's a chance to go back to basics, be original, and its because they've hired the catfish guys. I was strangly scared when they went on that road trip in Catfish, and pulled up to the farm in the dark. If they can capture that, and a few more new ideas that I'm sure they're creative enough to have, this could be a very different and very scary 3rd instalement.

I think they stretched the concept of trying to scare people for an hour and a half with a few loud noises and an occasional slamming door when they released the second movie; third time around and I think everyone can see the desperation from a director and group of writers who seemingly have no talent for telling an actual story and are hoping for another pay day.

oh god please no, first one was the least scary most boring film i've ever had to sit through with 1 scare(ish) right at the end that lasted 3 seconds. please please please stop churning out lame c**p and get back to real horror films and not this now over-done "lets pretend its true" rubbish.

I like these movies. Scarier than the Saw and Final Destination franchises in my opinion...
