Found footage horror keeps on coming with Paranormal Activity 4, the latest instalment in the ever-popular micro-budget chiller franchise.
Back behind the camera are Paranormal Activity 3 (and Catfish) directors Ariel Schulman and Henry Joost, though PA4 is actually a direct sequel to Paranormal Activity 2.
The fourquel picks up where PA2 left off, with series star Katie Featherston moving into a new home with her kidnapped charge, young Hunter (Brady Allen).
Soon, though, Katie's neighbours begin experiencing unexplained phenomena in their house. Is it all Katie's fault?
Announced in January 2012, and made on a budget of just $4m (a fortune in comparison to the first Activity’s $15,000), PA4’s secrets are being kept heavily under wraps.
Featherston spoke exclusively to Total Film in February 2012 about her part in the films, and revealed “it’s really important to me and to everyone on the team that we continue to make really intelligent, quality Paranormal Activity movies”.
Meanwhile, the film’s spooky trailer gives us the usual grainy footage, shaky camera angles and shadowy figures.
Paranormal Activity 4 opens in cinemas on 19 October 2012. Will you be brave enough to watch it? Tell us below.
