Ben Affleck was born on 15 August, 1972 in Berkeley, California, USA.

Affleck first found exposure in Kevin Smith movies such as Mallrats, Chasing Amy and Dogma.

He returned to work with the director in Jay And Silent Bob Strike Back, Jersey Girl, and Clerks II.

In 1997 Ben Affleck and Matt Damon won the Best Screenplay Oscar for their work on Good Will Hunting.

Affleck went on to appear as the lead in several high profile movies, including Michael Bay's Armageddon, Pearl Harbor, Changing Lanes, The Sum Of All Fears, Daredevil, State Of Play and Paycheck.

More recently, Affleck has formed a career as a highly well-respected director. His films include Gone Baby Gone, The Town and Argo.

He appeared as the lead character in The Town and Argo, directing his brother Casey Affleck in Gone Baby Gone.
