Brad Bird was born on 24 September 1957, Kalispell, Montana, USA.

Bird is probably best known for his association with Pixar. He directed The Incredibles and Ratatouille for the studio.

In 1999, Bird made his directing debut with Warner Bros' The Iron Giant.

He made his live-action film directing debut with Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, after being recommended to Tom Cruise by the director of the previous installment, JJ Abrams.
