William Bradley Pitt (best known to us as Brad Pitt) was born on 18 December 18, 1963 in Shawnee, Oklahoma, in the United States.
He made his movie debut in Ridley Scott’s Thelma And Louise, in a minor role as a hitchhiker.
From there, Pitt went on to secure starring roles in films throughout the ‘90s, including A River Runs Through It, Legends Of The Fall and Interview With The Vampire.
He also appeared in some of the most significant cult films of the decade, including True Romance, Twelve Monkeys and Fight Club.
Fight Club was Brad Pitt’s second collaboration with the director David Fincher, following their work together on dark detective drama Seven.
Pitt and Fincher went on to make The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button together, for which Pitt received his first Best Actor Oscar nomination.
He was also nominated for the Best Actor Oscar for his work in Moneyball, which was made by Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment production company.
Plan B Entertainment also produced Martin Scorsese’s The Departed, which received a Best Picture nomination in 2006.
Pitt’s most commercially successful films include Ocean’s Eleven, Troy and Mr & Mrs Smith.
