Steven Spielberg was born on 18 December 1946 in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA.

One of the most influential film directors in history, Steven Spielberg made his debut with what many people consider one of the greatest films of all time, Jaws.

It broke box office records in the year it was released - a feat he achieved twice more, with ET and Jurassic Park.

Spielberg won the Oscar for Best Director for Schindler's List in 1993 and Saving Private Ryan in 1998.

He was responsible for co-creating the iconic Indiana Jones, directing Harrison Ford in Raiders Of The Lost Ark, Indiana Jones And The Temple Of Doom, Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade and Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull.
