Tom Hardy was born on 15 September 1977 in Hammersmith, London, England.

Hardy's first movie was Ridley Scott's Black Hawk Down in 2001.

From there, Hardy went on to appear as the main villain, Shinzon, in Star Trek Nemesis.

Other key films for Hardy include Matthew Vaughn's Layer Cake, Guy Ritchie's RocknRolla and Nicolas Winding Refn's Bronson.

He has appeared in several critically acclaimed films, including Warrior, Lawless and Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy.

Tom Hardy has worked with Christopher Nolan twice, playing Eames in Inception and Bane in The Dark Knight Rises.

He is set to play Max Rockatansky in Mad Max reboot Mad Max: Fury Road.
