Jesse Eisenberg is rigged with explosives and ordered to rob a bank. As high-concept hooks go, it’s irresistible. Just don’t expect a nuanced narrative to go with it.
A slacker farce strung together with coincidence and coarse humour, eisenberg’s bumbling pizza-delivery guy and shrill buddy Aziz Ansari are bullied into crime by inept amateurs Danny McBride and Nick Swardson.
Ruben Fleischer’s follow-up to Zombieland maintains his debut’s restless pace, cartoonish verve and unforced amiability.
