Another Earth

3

It's Earth, but just another one.

Primer meets Moon, or at least tries to, in Mike Cahill’s sci-fi curio, in which a parallel planet (‘Earth Two’) suddenly pops into our solar system.

Rather than explore this replica universe, Cahill’s more interested in our world, as co-writer Brit Marling’s guilt-stricken drunk driver secretly tries to make amends with the composer (William Mapother) whose life she wrecked.

Lost fans will dig seeing the underused Mapother get to grips with a meaty lead. But this is an ultimately frustrating film, full of great ideas that never quite flower.
