This Aardman/Sony CG-animation is a sackful of fun, busting and creating festive myths, answering the question that’s plagued cynical kids for years: how does Santa do it?
Aided by a crack team of elves and piloting the Enterprise-like S-1, the current Santa heads up an operation of military precision.
Shame, then, that it sags when the beardie’s youngest son, lanky do-gooder Arthur (James McAvoy), sets off to deliver the one gift that’s been left behind.
Still, the early invention and heartfelt wrap-up could see it become a seasonal stalwart.
Looks twinkly on Blu, but the shallow featurettes are bah, humbug.
