Gibson's history lesson...

A lot has happened since 1995 (not least Gladiator, Lord Of The Rings and Mel Gibson’s public meltdown), but nothing can dull the steel of the original mud and blood epic. Alright, so it’s not very historically accurate, but Gibson’s romantic take on Scotland’s 13th Century rebel has always been more about the axe than the facts – with teeth-rattling battle scenes lifting a sweaty kilt to every CG imitator since.

Kitted out in a steelbook, there’s never been a better time to make like William Wallace and go Blu.
