Based on a kids’ book by William Joyce, Ice Age director Chris Wedge’s tale of a forest populated by mini people proves fun – if forgettable – family entertainment.
Amanda Seyfried voices Mary Katherine, a teen whose grief for her mother falls by the wayside once she’s shrunk and sent to thwart evil.
The familiar concept is backed by a voice cast – including Beyoncé, Colin Farrell and Christoph Waltz – recognisable to the point of jarring. Kids won’t mind, of course.
