Everything Or Nothing: The Untold Story Of 007

1

A retro-doc timed for James Bond's 50th anniversary

Timed for Bond's 50th cineversary, this Eon-approved retro-doc could so easily have been another nostalgia-soaked, guns/girls/gadgets look at the world’s longest running film franchise.

But director Stevan Riley (Fire In Babylon) pulls no punches, tracing the oft-fraught dynamics between the men behind the man - notably fall-out producers Harry Saltzman and Cubby Broccoli - to show how fragile Bond’s survival has been.

Alongside archive footage and the treasure trove of clips, all Bonds bar Connery are interviewed; George Lazenby’s regret about wasting his chance particularly resonates.

Funny, sharp and revealing, this does 007 proud.
