It’s a tough movie to dislike, thanks to slick direction, some unexpectedly nasty moments (decapitated dog, anyone?) and an overqualified cast that includes William Petersen as the emasculated dad of Reese Witherspoon’s Nicole, and Mark Wahlberg as the bonkers beau.
Fun fact: director James Foley made both Glengarry Glen Ross and the video for Madonna’s Papa Don’t Preach.
